At CSBC we run Alpha courses over a series of weeks which provide an explanation and discussion of what the Christian faith is all about in a relaxed and welcoming evironment. Alternatively please feel free to join us for our Sunday services, or any of our midweek activities which are open to all. We would love to see you here and are happy to answer any questions you might have.

January 01, 2014

A Prophetic Community:
We emphasize the importance of conscience; confronting evil, injustice and hypocrisy with truth and service.

An Inclusive Community:
We transcend barriers of gender, language, race, class, age & culture.

A Sacrificial Community:
We demonstrate our faith by giving our time, resources, expertise and making ourselves living sacrifices.

A Missionary Community:
We hold a holistic view for the wellbeing of the world & reach out to to meet people's physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

A Worshipping Community:
We recognise the primacy of worship & prayer in individual and corporate life.

An Equal Community:
Every member is a part of the leadership of the church. We hold to the Biblical mandate of the Priesthood of all believers.

Baptist Basics
December 31, 2013

We are a community of Baptist Christians who hold to the basis of faith of the Baptist Union:

 1.  That our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, is the sole and absolute authority in all matters pertaining to faith and practice, as revealed in the Holy Scriptures, and that each church has liberty, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to interpret and administer His laws.

2.  That Christian Baptism is the immersion in water into the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, of those who have professed repentance towards God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ who 'died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again on the third day'.

3.  That it is the duty of every disciple to bear personal witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to take part in the evangelisation of the world.
